Two licensed captains and one person who keeps the calendar straight. Hector runs the bay boat. Clint runs the cat.

How it started

Two boats and a tide chart

Hector Salinas grew up on Mustang Island and worked deck on shrimp boats out of this harbor for eleven years. He started taking friends of friends out on Redfish Bay in a borrowed boat in 2015, and the phone kept ringing. Jetty Run Charters has two boats now. The 24 ft bay boat runs the half-days and the sunset trips. The 31 ft catamaran goes offshore three days a week with Clint at the wheel. We only sell private trips, so you will never share the boat with strangers. In the fall the reds stack up along the jetties and in the pass, and that is usually where the morning starts.

Hector Salinas

Owner, bay boat captain

Eleven years on shrimp boats before he started chartering in 2015. Fishes Redfish Bay and the jetties nearly every day from March to December.

Clint Kubiak

Offshore captain

Grew up in Rockport and spent nine years running crew boats to the rigs. Took over the catamaran in 2021 and runs every deep-water trip.

Lupe Salinas

Bookings and the calendar

Hector's sister. Answers the phone, makes the weather calls with the captains, and is the reason anything gets confirmed on time.
